Alabama Medicaid

The state of Alabama offers Medicaid benefits to low-income pregnant women, children, those with disabilities, nursing home residents, and other low-income elderly people.

Qualifying for Medicaid can be confusing. There are varying income limits (meaning you must be below a certain income) for various Medicaid services. To see if you qualify for Medicaid and which services you qualify for, see http://www.medicaid.alabama.gov/CONTENT/3.0_Apply/3.2_Qualifying_for_Medicaid.aspx

You can apply for Medicaid online at https://insurealabama.adph.state.al.us/ or you can download an application to fill out at http://www.medicaid.alabama.gov/CONTENT/5.0_Resources/5.4_Forms_Library/5.4.2_Eligibility_Forms.aspx. If you have questions about applying for Medicaid, you can call the toll-free phone number 1-800-362-1504.
